Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience in the professional hands of Australia’s most- awarded whale watching operator.
Setting sail from Sea World, Main Beach, up to six times daily, we journey to the famous Humpback Highway, where 40,000 whales pass close to Gold Coast shores on their annual migration from Antarctica to the Great Barrier Reef.
Revel in intimate encounters and be entertained by our highly respected team while marvelling at the acrobatic skills of these playful and curious gentle giants.

Thankfully the Sea World Cruises chefs recognise this and are serving up delicious brekky and lunch options on the daily. With a strong focus on seasonal and local produce and unrestricted views of the Gold Coast Broadwater – it’s the perfect way to begin, or complete, your whale watching adventure

- Additional departure times running at 8am, 11am and 2pm tours with vessel "Kaiala" (Boat capacity 80 pax)

- Cruises will be cancelled upon the discretion of the cruise operator taking into account the weather conditions of the day
- Infants and children are welcome with responsible adult supervision.
- Please advise at time of booking in the 'Add Booking Notes' section of the Shopping Cart if you are travelling with an infant
- Booking changes and cancellations are available without penalty up to 24 hours before departure. Within 24 hours, 100% of the fare is forfeited. For groups of 10 or more, 72 hours notice is required.
- All cruises are weather, minimum passenger number, and Queensland Health advisory dependent
- In the unlikely event of a cancellation by the operator, you will be provided with a full refund (excluding gift vouchers) or a 12-month credit to use towards another cruise
- The operator reserves the right to substitute the vessel or change the itinerary without notice

Great crew and boat, easy check in process. Too busy watching the whales to notice they had food and drink to purchase.
We recently had the pleasure of being part of an incredible morning out whale watching on the Gold Coast! The crew on board the Spirit of Migaloo were awesome, very friendly and helpful plus the Captain had interesting and informative commentary the whole cruise. The only disappointment were the check in staff who weren't very friendly and the coffee was dreadful! Would totally recommend this cruise.

Great experience . Staff informative and friendly. Baby whales and a mum.
We rescheduled our tour which was a super easy process. Venue easy to find Checkin was easy Onboard staff were very accommodating for the unwell people. We found ten back of the boat was a great place to see the whales and was not crowded at all. We were in prime position to see the pod of dolphins also that came up to the boat as we returned. One suggestion is to take the seasickness tablets 30 minutes before going as u just never know if u may get sick. We enjoyed our trip 2 adults and a teenager.

If I had to describe my experience with one word, I'd say "amazing"! I really enjoyed it, I definitely want to go again and have a fantastic time in the sea while I'm having those incredible views to the city and the whales, dolphins and other animals
