What you can expect

Ready to soar above some of New Zealand's most pristine landscape? Find out what it's like to spread your wings and soar with the birds in the unique New Zealand alpine environment. For 10 to 20 minutes you and a certified paragliding pilot will be looking down on Queenstown from incredible heights.

Soar above mountain ridges and get a bird's-eye view of Queenstown and its magnificent surroundings during this tandem paragliding experience from New Zealand's highest commercial launch site. Begin with a quick briefing and before you know it you'll take a few quick steps and be lifted into the sky with your highly trained and professional pilot.

Gently glide down to the valley floor or ask your pilot for the "roller coaster ride", a thrilling and high G descent that will leave you breathless. Flight time is between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the season and weather, so you will have plenty of time to take in the amazing views. With courtesy transport from Queenstown, in no time at all, you'll look down on Queenstown's dramatic landscape of pristine mountains and winding rivers.

What To Bring
  • You'll be walking over snow and ice to access the take-off area so warm clothing is essential (dress for between 5 degrees to minus 10 degrees)
  • Good hiking boots with ankle support is required
  • We can supply boots, gloves and jackets on request if you don't have your own
Additional Information
  • The maximum weight for this experience is 120 kg
  • This experience is available to ages six and up
  • Winter (June-Sept) flights depart at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 2:45pm
  • A reasonable level of fitness is required
  • All customers will be required to sign a liability and medical disclosure form
  • This experience caters for groups of between one to 5 participants per trip, depending on the time of year
  • Spectators can come along free of charge on a space available basis
  • Chairlift foot pass necessary to reach take-off ($35 extra) Photos & Videos are available from your pilot after landing. This is an additional cost and you only need decide once you've landed. You'll receive at least 30+ images and 2-3 high quality videos which can be transferred to your smart phone immediately upon landing
Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations prior to 48 hours before departure will incur no cancellation fee. Cancellations between 48 hours and 24 hours prior departure will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours of departure will be charged at full price.
