What you can expect
Travel along the picturesque waterfront alongside Pioneer Bay aboard your own 2 wheeled Segway vehicle in the afternoon enjoying lovely sights, interesting commentary, a wonderful sunset and dinner! Head out from Airlie Beach in the afternoon and hop aboard your hi-tech Segway as your friendly guide takes you on a journey along the Bicentennial Boardwalk, past local highlights such as the Coral Sea Marina/Resort, the Whitsundays Botanical Gardens and more before reaching the golden sands of Cannonvale Beach. Along the way your guide will point out a range of points of interest, detailing their history and their significance in the Whitsundays region as you head further along the easy-to-navigate wooden boardwalk that follows the lovely surrounding shoreline.
Measuring approximately 7 kilometres round-trip in total, during the tour you'll stop at the Sorrento Restaurant where you'll enjoy a delicious dinner while admiring the famously beautiful Whitsundays sunset. - Ride your own Segway along the Whitsunday Bicentennial Boardwalk overlooking the pristine waters of Pioneer Bay
- The tour begins in Airlie Beach and glides the boardwalk along the water’s edge
- Coral Sea Marina/Resort, Shingley Beach and the Whitsunday Botanic Gardens, through to Cannonvale Beach
- Rest stops to take in the sights and sounds of the area
- Your experienced tour guide will provide informative commentary and highlight points of interest along the 7km round journey
- Enjoy dinner while soaking up the evening sunset views

- Tours depart at 3pm and return at approximately 6pm between 1st April- 31st October, with courtesy hotel transfers from selected hotels beginning at approximately 2pm
- Tours depart at 4pm and return at approximately 7pm between 1st November- 31st March, with courtesy hotel transfers from selected hotels beginning at approximately 3pm

- After the segway tour, you can choose to stay at Sorrento Restaurant and enjoy a delicious dinner. Your segway will be collect for you by the tour guides so all you need to do is enjoy dinner. Please call the tour operator after making the booking if you would like this option

We booked on to the Sunset Segway and Tapas tour whilst browsing for something to do around Airlie Beach
We booked on to the Sunset Segway and Tapas tour whilst browsing for something to do around Airlie Beach. The tour was well run and the guide was very informative, providing interesting commentary along the way as well as stopping for breaks whenever we felt like we needed to (Segwaying is harder than you think!). After a thorough introduction to the Segway and one on one training we got on our way around Airlie and its marinas and beaches. We actually learnt a lot as well as taking in the stunning views of the marina and the beautiful sunset. On the way back we stopped at a lovely tapas bar where the food was absolutely delicious before returning back to the Main Street and returning our Segway. In all, the tour was well worth the money and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to see a bit more of Airlie.
